GUIDED RUNS

Our hotel's property Run Concierges lead guided group runs every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30am (weather permitting) from our lobby.Runners of all levels are welcome.

RUNNING ROUTES

We offer maps designed and certified by New Balance for Boston running routes around the hotel. Maps are available at the concierge and feature three- and five-mile jogging/walking routes from our hotel.

NEW BALANCE GEAR LENDING

Pack light and stay fit with New Balance Gear Lending. We offer New Balance clothing and shoes for Westin guests to use during their stay for just $5.

Simply dial Service Express® and request your shoe and clothing size and they will be conveniently delivered to your guest room. Shoes come with brand-new socks and apparel is provided fresh and clean. Upon departure, simply leave the items in your room in their carryall.

1. What is your hotel role outside of being a running concierge?

Field Marketing Manager for Starwood Hotels, supporting the MidWest US/Eastern Canada regions.

2. What’s your favorite thing about being a running concierge?

Meeting guests and hearing their stories

3. Include 1 thing about yourself that people would be surprised to know.

I’ve been dancing since I was six. I continued performing through college as part of the tap and Latin dance clubs, and now I still try to find time to let loose in classes or salsa nights when I can!

I am the Assistant Director of Front Office.

2. Where is your favorite running path /favorite landmark to run by in Boston or local area? 

My favorite landmark in the “Smoot Bridge” and the view looking back towards the ocean.

3. What’s your favorite thing about being a running concierge?

When I see all the runners smiling and laughing and taking in our lovely city.

Director of Restaurants Bars and Venues.

2. Where is your favorite running path /favorite landmark to run by in Boston or local area?

The 5 miles from my house to the beach and back!…sometimes back.

3. What’s your favorite thing about being a running concierge?

Talking to people while burning calories, it doesn’t get better than that.

Boston Metro Market Sales Coordinator.

2. What’s your current racing/wellness goal? Or how do you “move well” outside of running?

To remain more consistent in my trainings, participate in more road races. I take fitness classes.

3. Include 1 thing about yourself that people would be surprised to know. 

I have a twin!

Alison Jones

1. What is your hotel role outside of being an awesome running concierge?

I work as a Human Resources Coordinator at the hotel and work closely with our internal guests to help ensure they have what they need to be happy and successful in their jobs.

2. What’s your favorite thing about being a running concierge?

My favorite part about being a running concierge is getting to know our guests and getting to show off our beautiful city!

3. Include 1 thing about yourself that people would be surprised to know.

I have never had a gym membership; all of my workouts are done on my living room floor or outside! Who says fitness has to cost money?

Through the Public Garden.

3. Include 1 thing about yourself that people would be surprised to know.

I have over 100 pairs of shoes, and it’s still not enough for every season!

1. What is your hotel role outside of being an awesome running concierge?

Director of Marketing & Communications.

2. What’s your current racing/wellness goal? Or how do you “move well” outside of running?

I want to run at least 2 marathons and I also hope to compete in a few triathlons. I love cycling, swimming, yoga and running stairs with the November Project.

3. What’s your favorite thing about being a running concierge?

Running with someone is one of the best ice breakers there is. People should try running on first dates!
